My 2013 Fantasy Football Draft

Welcome to my 2013 Fantasy Football Draft!

Here was my strategy going in :

QB : Get Wilson and Palmer on the cheap.  I believe one of the two will be in the top 6-7 and that's good enough for me.
RB : Go for Adrian Peterson if I somehow get first pick.  If not, go for CJ Spiller.  Get Frank Gore on the cheap.  Everyone thinks he's washed up every year, nobody likes him, and I can always get him cheap.
WR : Dez Bryant will be first priority if I don't get one of my 2 running back studs.  In the later rounds, try to get a good bargain on Cecil Shorts or TY Hilton.
TE : If I can't get a Top 3, get at least one steady rock and another with big potential.
PK and D : I'll play it by ear.

Like I said, if I couldn't get Peterson or Spiller, I'd get Dez.  This guy was unbelievable last ten games of the 2012 season and I think he'll continue to have his way and become an all-out monster.

Well, he was still there!  Last year was terrible, but I really believe Carson Palmer will resurrect him as a dominant receiver.

Whew!  I'm pleased.  I was able to sneak Gore in the 3rd round and, in my opinion, I have 3 total studs.

This Lamar Miller is supposed to be the guy in Miami.  I know so little about him except he's supposed to be quick and maybe a 3-down back.  I like that he works out with Frank Gore and, if he's a good protege, will hit those holes quick.  I'm rolling the dice with him!

Tony Gonzalez might have been a good move but I have to admit Shorts is sort of a sentimental favorite that really could have a monster year.  He's added ten pounds of muscle and seems to be taking on a leadership role on the team.  I would really regret it if I let him get away and he became a breakout.

Ok, I got one of my quarterbacks!

He showed flashes this year and they're already talking about his maturity this year.  Explosive!

Here was a situation where I needed some depth at running back and the scroll-bar of available backs were listed by ADP rank.  I did some quick research and liked what I saw.  I decided to take a shot at this little-known prospect.  Besides, rookie running backs are fun!

Ok, here's my rock-solid vanilla tight end.  Reliable.

I try this every year.  I still think he's an absolute beast!  Someday, someday, he'll get his chance.  I hope it's early in the season so I don't have to release him.

Hey, a top 3 defense.  Also, they won't be on the field long with their new offensive weapons.

I felt this was a mistake as soon as I did it.  A rookie receiver on the Patriots?  He's high in the rankings, must be a reason.  But not knowing why bothers me.

Well, he's supposed to be a top tight end...

Very underrated.  So many targets and I could start him if I'm in a pinch.

I got both my QB's on the cheap!  I realize I maybe could have picked him up off waivers but decided not to take a chance - just a hunch.

Big leg.
